For the record, I’m not one who gets to the airport 3 hours early before a flight. I don’t go as far as to be so late that they are paging me because they are closing the doors any minute (not all the time, anyway!), but I generally leave the minimum amount of time that won’t give me agita. Earlier today, our flight from Mendoza was cancelled, and the flights the rebooked us on would have required transferring from the domestic airport to the international one, in addition to more hours of layover and getting in 4 hours later than planned. There was another airline offering a flight getting us to the int’l BA airport and allowed us to take our original routing back home to Boston. For a price, of course. We sucked it up and paid for the new ones. The new flight was hot, stifling even. We get to BA over 2.5hrs early for check-in to Miami to find quite possibly the longest line ever. Once we finally reach the counter, we’re told we are either in 2 middle seats, or in the last row next to the bathroom. Flight cancellations, stinky bathrooms, etc.. These are the general headaches of travel, but they are also part of the journey, and as such, totally worth it. Now, please pass the aspirin - or ambien so I can get some sleep!!
Aspirin please
